A bit over a week since I had it, and I have hard lumps on some areas not even related to where my breasts used to be. I also have this area that looks like a valley (I don't know how to describe it lol) where I'm quite swollen around the armpit/collarbone area, and then I look extremely flat and then it swells up again. I had my checkup yesterday and they said it looks fine, so how long does it take since these tend to go away/to have my chest even out?

I'm a bit perplexed over why I am so swollen around the collarbones on both sides though, and I'm quite hard as well. Is there any reason why outside of being related to the lymphs, perhaps?

EDIT
Ops, can a mod move this to the right sub.

From what I've heard from other guys, firm lumps are probably just swelling from lipo, especially if they said it looked fine. It can take up to six months for all the swelling to go down. I'd recommend taking a look at the top surgery recovery thread to see some other guys' experiences if you haven't yet. That's where I get most of my 'this is normal' reassurances. If you're comfortable posting a picture of what you mean by the valley thing, I might be able to give you some better information/reassurance.

Congrats on your surgery, by the way!

Well, people be warned that this doesn't look very good seeing how this is 8 days post-op:

Also, you can't quite see the valley in the photo, it's actually on the right side (the one that doesn't look bruised as ->-bleeped-<- since it becomes inverted due to selfie mechanics). You can see it on my left side though, thanks to the bruising, though the  valley stuff isn't as bad on that side, likely because it's so swollen everywhere (that's the side that bled like a cluster->-bleeped-<- too).

That looks quite good for 8 days post, actually. From what I can see, I'd guess that some areas are just reacting less well to lipo than others, hence the uneven and valley-style swelling.

But why would I swell around the collarbone where I did no lipo afaik?

You'd be surprised where they lipo, I think. (I watched videos of both peri and DI from my surgeon before my surgery, and I'm pretty sure he used the lipo wand thing around there for both. I could be misremembering, though.)

Hm, I see. I may ask my coordinator, then. I'm still really swollen but it seems to finally soften up now. I don't experience as much pain as before, for example, and I have almost regained full mobility.
