So happy

I'm an uncle as of Oct 12th.... i have other nieces and nephews, but they knew me as before.  This is special to me.  Its different, my new niece is never gonna know that person.  And it makes me happy. So freaking happy.  Its just a change in wording, but to me it means so much.  I will always be Uncle.

Another cool thing is I was hanging out at the hospital and one of my sister's friends asked if i had had top surgery yet.  Of course I was a bit taken back, that's a bit personal... but was soon on could nine 'cause she said i looked fantastic. 

Also, on Wednesday went to my first appt with a gender specialist.  I've felt a bit like I've wasted the last 10/15 years of my life, but she said that i was actually one of her younger clients.  The ball is finally rolling now, and I'm excited.  I've been out to myself for six months.  Six months down the line, who knows where I'll be.

Congrats on being a uncle!!  Well, your first fresh start uncle sort of I guess huh.  Anyways I'm really glad your doing so well right now.  Keep up the attitute and nothing will ever be able to stop you!!

Congratulations JT!  Being an uncle is a great feeling isn't it?  I used to be too.

My granddaughter has always known me as Grandma Sandy.  I am very happy that she will not know who I was in my other life.

When she gets older, of course, she'll see pictures of me before I changed and I am alright with that.  Especially the ones of me holding her as a newborn.  She and I are best pals and I cherish every moment with her.  When she is older, yes, she and I will have a heart to heart talk, but I think by then, she'll just accept me as who I am.  And who I used to be won't be a big deal at all.

Congrats JT on being an Uncle. I know how you feel about wasting the last 10-15 years of your life. I'd have to say that I have heard and read a number of TS say one thing in common. Why didnt I do this years ago???

Ahhh, those little bundles of joy have a way of turning lives in to happy moments to be cherished.  Congratulations indeed.

As for those wasted years... I think that it's safe to say that many of us felt the same way at one point or another.  I've often wondered what my life would be like now if i had the opportunity to have transitioned earlier.  Then, circumstances dictated otherwise so i don't dwell on it and just enjoy the wonderful life that I now have.
