I've been called in for unexpected surgery in two days and I've heard it's best to discontinue E for the duration due to risk factors related to complications with clots.
1. Just how important is it to disclose my usage of transdermal E?
2. will quitting it for a day before be any use?
3. Is staying off it for a week or two post op necessary?

I'm normally very careful and study interactions and contraindications in depth with any drugs I'm prescribed. I like to be informed. I AM in contrast to this, however, self medicating in this case with +low dose+ transdermal E and AA's for what reasonably obvious stealth factors. I find, as usual, different opinions online as to the dangers (and lack thereof). Folks with a medical background would be very welcome to cast their thoughts here ASAP!

I have filled in the AAs and other various meds on the forms, as technically they're explicable for other treatments besides mtf transitioning, but including E on the forms is going to raise more than a few questions at this point.

:police: TOS 8 forbids discusion of and providing advice about self medication so the best advice we can give you is to run ALL of the medication past your doctor. They may require additional blood work to evaluate the risk before surgery so allow sufficient time for the lab work to be completed. Without the follow up treatment you should be receiving it's impossible for us to determine the risk of surgery.
