So it's been a really long time since I've posted, or even been on here for that matter, but I figured now would be a good time to get some other support since I'm finally going to be on HRT soon!  After searching, I finally found a doctor who is willing to prescribe it to me - I just have to get my letter from a therapist first (I have an appointment next week) - and I'm so excited!

I've been out at work, using they/them or he/him pronouns and the right name, and came out to the rest of my family (TL;DR, we'll just say some took it better than others, but the worst of it is that the news is being ignored by my grandparents), so now is the perfect time to start physically transitioning.  Since I work at a beauty store with a salon in the back, I've asked the salon manager, one of the most supportive people there who has other trans friends, to cut my hair off.  I've been growing it out for about 1 1/2 years and I've been itching to cut it.  So, I'm going to set up an appointment to get it cut right after my first shot as a celebration and as a symbol of starting a new chapter in my life.

Sorry that was long, I just have a lot of feelings right now.

Began questioning: Around 2011?
Chose to identify as a genderfluid transman: Around 2014ish
Came out completely: 2017
Began using new name: 2017
Starting HRT: 2018
Complete legal name change: 2018

Congrats! Hrt is really exciting to start. But I know for most it's a very slow process. Getting a hair cut is going to really put you on the right track even without hrt! You're lucky to be out at work and have a supportive supervisor
