Oh. My. God.

I just had my first consult, and it turned into something more.

IPL is not permanent and there is a risk of regrowth, even many months and even years after the last session.
I am not a medical doctor, nor a scientist - opinions expressed by me on the subject of HRT are merely based on my own review of some of the scientific literature over the last decade or so, on anecdotal evidence from women in various discussion forums that I have come across, and my personal experience

On HRT since early 2004
Post-op since late 2005

Sorry to leave that last post somewhat information poor :D
Someone walked in on me  :police:
Okay so I'd heard it feels like a rubber band snapping at your skin, but let's describe that in more detail. You've just gotten the worst sunburn in your life and someone is firing inch long electric staples at you which sizzle and fry as they embed themselves in your face. I was literally twitching and sweating and shaking by the end of it. I'm officially a complete wuss.
I went for a consult for ipl and electrolysis, and both practitioners saw me and decided ipl first, followed by electrolysis to clean up afterwards. Then they said to go into that cubicle, lie down, and take off my boots.
Your face gets cleaned, lovingly patted, massaged and gently dried, then they slather a thick layer of what feels like cold slime all over the area.
Then suddenly there is a humming noise and evil witches cook your face while they scream and cackle at your torture.
That last bit was slightly exaggerated  ;)
It was more of a fan noise than a hum. 8)
