Okay. I began my transition about six months ago by talking to a therapist and about a month and a half ago I started hormones but I had to stop taking Spironolactone recently because it made me feel too icky. I have did laser hair removal on my face three times so far and I think my progress is really good so far. My problem though is that I have no idea what to do next. I really feel like I am spinning my wheels in the mud and not making any more progress. So I am trying to figure out the next step in my transition. I still look mostly like a guy and I am not happy with that but I don't know what else to do.

Having alot of problems training my voice also because I think there is a physical reason for my voice being so weird as it is. No idea what to wear clothing wise or how to present more female really. Rather confused in general.

Picture of me too! I just bought a camera today because I wanted to show people. I do kinda rock. ;)

Cassandra (Cassie ?),

Sure you look a "geek" in that photo !

But hey, change those glasses (get contacts ?), grow your hair and you'll really look a girl .... believe me there is nothing about your face that identfies as masculine, least of all beard or skin roughness .... ears pinning back maybe, but could easily be covered by hair ?

Voice .... believe me that "wierd" is about lack of confidence, no more, once you are confident in your female self it won't be an issue ....

Clothes ?  Come on, thats the fun bit (!) .... but sure you need to be confident and secure in your female identity to check out how things work for you .... yes you could be a "geek girl" in jeans and T's .... and that's OK when you're 100% confident .... but most of us at the beginning of transition use clothes as a gender affirmation ?

Thinks you need to meet more TS folk to help you overcome your understandable insecurity ?

Hugs,

Laura x

I actually bought new glasses a couple months ago so I would look less male. I used to have these horrible, huge aviator rims that covered half my face. I like my current ones a fair amount. And Cassie is fine sure. I don't mind the whole 'geek girl' thing, though I have been trying to go to the gym more often to work out some even though I slacked off recently. Mostly just not sure what to do next as I said. I imagine I would do better once the hormones work on me more but my plan is to be prepared by this fall. I could of course push that back but I like to follow my plans if possible. :)
