Finally! I went for my consultation over 15 months ago... hope my surgeon remembers what he's supposed to do.  :-\

In the United States, they use a marking pen before surgery indicate what the surgeon is supposed to do. The patient and the doctor together make sure the marks correspond to the surgery to be performed. One of my nasty thoughts was drawing an arrow and writing "Cut Here" for the surgeon to find. I suspect your country may do something like that as well.

The surgeon did draw on me when I went in for consultation, but that's before T and I've noticed a lot of changes since... I'm sure he'll mark me up again. Believe it or not, this is my 3rd surgery date. First date cancelled because of someone made an administrative mistake, 2nd date cancelled because the operating rooms were flooded in the hospital, now I hope nothing happens from now till Friday...

I just got the final confirmation from the hospital this morning, and told my wife about it. She's surprised that I'm not scared... I've been through the hysterectomy almost 2 years ago, I believe top surgery is a lesser surgery in comparison?

Operation room flooded, that can only be one place that I know of. I think top surgery may be less of a surgery than a hysterectomy but top surgery has it's own set of restrictions. On the other hand, laparoscopic surgery when possible have greatly improve surgery. In the past, you would be in the hospital days after surgery but now they often send people home a few hours after surgery. I think that's true of top surgery though you may have to remain near the surgeon to check healing.

Yeah, I live just under 2 hours away from the clinic of my surgeon, and the hospital I'm having the surgery is 1.5 hours away...

Surgery at 8am, and I should be home for the afternoon tea as I was told lol

CrazyCatMan

Congrats. ;D The hospital flooded, now that is some bad luck.

probably not a good idea. they drew on me for my knee cap repositioning. so they didn't operate on the wrong leg, which they almost did anyways. Had a giant yes written across my knee and because I couldn't shower after surgery I had yes written on my leg for a month. lol
