Recent studies in mice and larger mammals have found a series of genes responsible for a "tug-of-war" that could potentially change the game for trans healthcare.  It is presumed that these genes, if modified could convert gonadal tissue in the body to switch from male to female and vice versa.  Can you imagine producing your own HRT?  I'm looking for information regarding the possibility of human trials but have been fruitless in my search.  I will keep looking though...

Sadly, expensive therapies are rarely developed for small populations. It's likely this will stay a lab curiosity unless some transgender people fund the development. Having said that, I still need to read the article.
April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.

They say the light at the end of the tunnel is an oncoming train. I say, climb aboard!
