If the reputation minus was about the mountain people thing I apologize. I'm not criticizing all mountian people, but that was a very traumatic time in my life where I was held against my will and a domestic violence situation by my ex husband and his whole family. I have an unreal fear of rural areas but at the same time admire them in photographs. I realize there are decent mountain people.

I like apologies. I want to be sure you understand why you received the negative reputation point. If you look in a dictionary, you'll see that your usage of the word is considered dated and offensive. Here's a handy flow chart and a link to an organization that is trying to make a difference. http://www.r-word.org/

I've been called retarded all my life. I thought you were mad about me saying something about comparing them to the movie wrong term.

I make many mistakes and many apologies.

Well, no one is going to call you that here.

"Before you speak, let your words pass through three gates:

At the first gate, ask yourself "Is is true?"

At the second gate ask, "Is it necessary?"

At the third gate ask, "Is it kind?"

~ Rumi
