My husband is really into tattoos, and he has always tried to convince me to get some, but it was never something I considered. I wanted to have as little to do with my body as I could, if that makes sense, so the idea of getting a tattoo was just a non-starter.
Now that I'm transitioning, though, I'm starting to think that's something I could get into. As in, going big and getting some major work done. Then it occurred to me that maybe the right tattoos could help with some of the aspects of my body I have dysphoria about. Like, sleeves over my biceps could help make my muscles look less defined.
I was wondering if anybody had some advice on this. What about shoulders, for instance? What kind of tattooing could de-emphasize shoulder width? Or make hips look wider?
