This is my first time dressing up and I want to go out today but I'm worried that I don't quite fit the part. I'm kind of looking for critiques on whether I pass or not

Welcome to Susan's Place. As a FTM, you need a bit more work. As a MTF, I think you have the look down. The picture is a bit washed out so it's hard to determine how much makeup you have on but a bit more color in your cheeks and eyebrows might help in a more formal setting. On the street when makeup isn't common, it shouldn't be a problem.

We issue to all new members the following links so you will best be able to use the web site.

I agree with Dena, MTF you look great. Not sure about your outfit as it can not be seen but enjoy your time out and about.
Treat life's difficult times as if they are normal moments, this makes the normal and special ones even more fantastic.

I'm just wearing a black blouse with jeans, I had to use a webcam to get the photo so I couldn't really get a good picture unfortunately  :-\ I guess I should have said I'm MTF as well

I think the FTM & MTF were a bit of a tongue in cheek funny comment.
Your outfit sounds nice and subtile and will not draw close scrutiny.
What are you wearing as footwear? ;D

Sounds great.
Let us all know how your first outing goes?
How it made you feel, any issues you encounter etc.

And remember attitude and confidence crush any specific item of clothing or makeup.

Please report back, but more importantly, savor this moment. We each only get one "first time out in public" and this one is yours.

I think you look fab! The only advice I can give is constantly observe girls and women. Much can be learned from them.

In terms of passing - For a long time I was obsessed with passing as a woman when crossdressing. While that still matters, I've noticed that it has become more important for me to pass with dignity. Put another way, I know I look like a man in a frock when in public. But I want to look very good as a man in a frock in public :D
