Can HRT hormones have any effect on hair, especially head hair?

In some cases yes. I had a bald patch at the crown  & some receeding at the front. The bald patch filled in, there was some slight regrowth at the front, I now have hair almost to my bust.

Estrogen will prolong the duration of hair growth so that hair can potentially be much longer. Hair loss, if any, will stop when T levels are low. Estrogen should keep head hair thick.
I am not a medical doctor, nor a scientist - opinions expressed by me on the subject of HRT are merely based on my own review of some of the scientific literature over the last decade or so, on anecdotal evidence from women in various discussion forums that I have come across, and my personal experience

On HRT since early 2004
Post-op since late 2005

How long before you noticed new growth in your thinner areas?

About 6 months before I noticed it was filling in the bald patch. After 18 months it was gone. The front hadn't receded enough to be a problem

Pretty much the same for me. My wife told me my bald patch had gone. I didn't know I had one.

The 2012 photo was the best I could grow and shows it all combed forward. Now I cut my fringe every two weeks.
I don't know whether it's regrowth or not but I don't care
