So my sister knows that i am transgender and she doesn't care and has already told my mother that she could get my nephew to call me his uncle. I don't normally tell anyone anything but this time i decided it needed to be me so i told my mother while walking to my house that i didn't anyone telling him anything, which they haven't yet so that's good. I'm basically allowed to tell him this whenever my mother claims he won't yet understand and to be honest i agree i don't think he could completely copperhead that but it also may be more difficult to explain if i waited until he was older around 8-9 so what do you guys think should i tell him now he is like (5) or should i wait and tell him when he is a little older. Because i don't have a clue sometimes i think telling him younger is better and sometimes i think telling him older it would be easier for him to understand. Knowing me i'll end up saying something when he is younger but another problem is what do you say to a child who's basically had gender roles drilled into his head and has known me as female and never has seen anyone use male pronouns for me. I don't really know how to say this in a way a kid would understand and i don't even know how start mentioning it! let alone talk about it. (I probably made this entire thing really confusing i'm sorry. And note: iv'e said something like this before probably but it was only recently i actually stated something about it to my mother and said i wanted to tell him.) I had the chance to say something today also but i was worried he wouldn't get it.
