For the past couple of weeks i have felt how my body Dysphoria  has increased dramatically.
First it was the body hair and beard that bothered me and i couldn't shave close enough, but
recently i can't stand to look at my body in the mirror.  i was at the pool just earlier and
walked to the mirror to put on some creams and comb my hair and i just couldn't bare it, instead
of enjoying having time to fix myself up a bit i hurried out and home feeling like a freak and wasn't
at ease until i was correctly dressed at least.

Here's the thing. i know it's weird but i was so unaware of my dysphoria until recently but now all of a sudden
it's blowing up in my face.  i don't understand.

Thanks for being here
Linda

I don't know if this what's happening to you but this is what I'm going through, after 20 months on HRT my sense of self as female has normalized and my expectations have risen. Things I used to ignore because they couldn't be helped have begun to bother me big time. Therefore, when something seems out of place, body hair for example, I get much more upset.
April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.

They say the light at the end of the tunnel is an oncoming train. I say, climb aboard!

Well would it help you to concentrate on the things you like ?
And concentrating on moments of joy ... like the memory of clothes you really like ...

Hello Dee.
i haven't started HRT yet.  A couple of weeks ago i got a call from my doctor wanting me to make an appointment.
i've been more than 18 months in the transgender program already spending the most of the time waiting.
After he called me i was so elated, thinking now i am going to start soon, when i don't have any guarantee of that
and i think that must have triggered all this dysphoria.  Am just shocked at the intensity.
i haven't considered myself stupid, but Linda sure has some world class blonde moments.

Thanks for the reply

i will try that Laura, especially at the pool where i seem to become extra self conscious.

That was a kind suggestion
