So last night was a really horrible night for me and i was in a very dark place where i did some regretable things but that's nothing new heh.
but something really good happened this morning. My mother told me i could change my middle name
normally my mother gets really sad if i mention wanting it to be changed because she gave me it to honor her side of the family (and nobody else has it hence it was meaningful for her). But this time she used the wrong first name for a second (well its my name but just the unisex name, still haven't completely changed that on her)
But anyways she used the wrong first name and then corrected herself said sorry and mentioned that if i wanted i can change my middle name also i could It's not like i needed her permission however it made me a little more happy the fact i'm starting to finally see effort and change in her actions  towards everything.
I asked her to start using my pronouns at the beginning of 2016 so im sitting here thinking effort? finally!

Great to see.

As a parent I have to admit to using the wrong name 1/4 of the time for any of my girls. Thank heaven they're all girls or I would undoubtedly be misgendering them too(as far as I know, they are not trans).

It is frustrating when it feels like someone is calling you by the wrong pronoun or name on purpose. I do think it is hard on parents, if only because it is a habit.

Hope you continue to have positive progress and better days.

Warmly,

Joanna

Sounds like good progress that should develop positively. Hope all continues to go well.

And yeah totally mix up kids names at times especially if flustered and giving any into trouble lol.
