I had a silver nitrate treatment yesterday on my clitoris and it is still very raw and sore/burny. Is there anything anyone knows to make this feel better? My crotch thanks you!!

So I called my surgeons office and they actually gave me lidocaine cream to apply to it wish removes some of the pain, but not all of it.

I had to have that done last year as well, could there be a worse place to require that, I think not. I just dealt with the pain. Thankfully the area healed and is functioning well now. At the time I was scared ->-bleeped-<-less that my clitoris would be damaged but thankfully it made a full recovery  :)

what is a silver nitrate treatment?

Silver nitrate is a caustic antimicrobial that is sometimes used in wound therapy.  It helps promote healing as well.  It has been used as a wound management tool for over a hundred years.

It's use in post vaginoplasty surgery helps reduce infection and necrotic tissue.  I had it used on me following my operation to remove necrotic labial tissue and to prevent tissue granualization.  Necrotic tissue is dead and so it's use on it is painless.

However if it does get living tissue it will produce a burning sensation.

I am going to do a treatment myself tomorrow. That is if I can get to it easily. My clit which has been out for  the most part up until now is starting to hide away in there. The human body is miraculous.
