Hey Ladies and Gents.

I'm looking for a therapist to give me the go on top surgery.

I'm hoping to find a therapist who will take my insurance (BCBS) and is to the point. I really am only looking for the letter and not too interested in therapy... but I'm willing to talk like a reasonable person.

I live in Vancouver WA, a place that to my knowledge is not known for diverse care. But in the chance there is a gem hiding in the crevasses, I'm hoping to find a therapist here. I'm doubtful of it, but it would be more convenient. But as I've driven out to see my doctor in Portland, I'll go out there to see a good Therapist.

A better therapist is definitely higher priority than convenient location though.

If anyone has any recommendations and if they happen to know they take Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance, I only wish to be put in the right direction.  :D

Thank you!

Vancouver, WA is near Portland, yeah? I believe @thorhugs found someone in that area that worked well.

I did indeed! For a therapist, I went to Lilyan Moore in downtown Portland: https://www.portlandtherapycenter.com/therapists/lilyan-moore

She doesn't take insurance, but her rates are incredibly lower. Lower than I would have paid another therapist who did take my insurance, apparently. She's WPATH certified and really nice. Bonus: she's a few blocks away from Powell's books.

Hello,

I found Shelly Norton in Portland Oregon to be well verse with the transgender community unlike some others in the area. She was my therapist for obtaining a letter for GRS.

You can find her information on the following page created by a post-op MD, Sara Becker.

Her place of business is not far off I-5, easy to get to and park.
