I've read that we may be more prone to bacterial infection on T. The good news is that bacterial infections tend to have a strong, bad odor, so if there's no odor it's likely benign. Hope that helps.
I just had a bacterial infection and when I asked my doctor if it was due to T, she said that's a myth. There is a change in pH balance but mostly it affects the discharge and dryness.
Personally I'm the opposite of dry now, and coupled with the fact that I'm pretty fuzzy downstairs and in a relationship with a gay man, it most likely just an issue of not being extra careful when cleaning up.
To answer the original question, I had some changes in discharge. Mostly it was thicker and at times almost tacky. My doctor advised me to drink extra water which did seem to help, as I was always trying to stay hydrated but failing since I lived in a really hot place. If you do notice a strong odor contact your doctor. You'll be able to tell if it's a smell that means something is wrong, trust me. Also if the discharge is yellow, brown or green you should go to a doctor immediately.
I'd think it's pretty normal, but I always say if you have any doubts or concerns, call your doctor. A few seconds on the phone can do wonders for your state of mind.
