Artemisia

Hi, I'm a 25 year old non binary trans woman/female leaning androgyne and I joined Susan's for a sense of community but also because I'm rapidly coming to the conclusion I may well be intersex as well as trans and so wanted to reach out to others in similar situations. :)

Incidentally, on that note, I have also put up a post in the Intersex Talk forum explaining my situation so feel free to have a look at that and add your thoughts as at this stage they're much appreciated.

Beyond that, in my spare time I enjoy baking, working with various kinds of textiles, reading/writing sci fi and fantasy. mythology, languages and am also a practicing witch/psychic.

Feel free to say hi. :)

Hi Artemisia

I know very little about intersex or baking but do love my slow cooker.

Come to think of it I know very little about anything but still happy to see you ☺

Thanks for the warm welcome all. :)

@V M: Thanks very useful. :)

@Jerrica: Slow cookers are amazing and I'm sure you know more about things in general than you think. :)

@Laura_7: So sorry not to have gotten back to you sooner, I had intended to but being unwell atm is muzzing my brain somewhat so I think that's why I forgot. I mainly enjoy making sweet stuff like flapjacks, toffee, fudge etc and something I've started making recently which I call 'toffee cookies' which use oats like flapjacks but have a toffee rather than honey/flapjack base. *hugs back* :D :)

You are a sweetie ?  :)

Here is a recipe for very easy to make filled sweets:
https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,206781.msg1835702.html#msg1835702

Its possible to make them in a pan, in a pot with boiling water, or to bake them on a sheet.
People make a game out of the filling: usually its filled with one sort, for example farmers cheese and cherries, and only one or two are filled with another sort. People drawing the rare ones have a wish free  :).

Hmmm your toffee cookies sound great ... do you have pictures ?  :)
I guess you could sell them, maybe at local festivities  :) .

Hope you are well soon.

*hugs*
