Has anyone changed their name and gender marker on their documents while a permanent resident in the United States?

Changing anything in my country of birth is not an option for me, but I'm sure I don't want my passport and my green card to have different information.

This isn't an immediate problem but I think it will be within a year as I will stop passing as the gender and picture on my passport.
