Ted Cruz Suspends His Campaign for President

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/05/04/us/politics/ted-cruz.html

The New York Times/By MATT FLEGENHEIMERMAY 3, 2016

"INDIANAPOLIS — Less than a month ago, Senator Ted Cruz seemed to have done it.

He had won Wisconsin. Former rivals were holding their noses to support him. He was dominating delegate elections, positioning himself for what seemed increasingly likely to be a floor fight at the Republican convention in July, as the campaign of Donald J. Trump fell into internal disarray."

With due apologies to Sanders and Kasich, this leaves us down to two fairly flawed candidates for the November general.  Given their respective negatives and weaknesses, the campaign promises to get historically ugly.
When in doubt, ignore the moral judgments of anybody who engages in cannibalism.

I watched him elbow his wife in the face. And I laughed and laughed and laughed and laughed and laughed and laughed some more. And just a little more. Then I took a breath.
