Binding with medical tapes

Hey everyone, I'd like to ask if anyone used medical tapes for binding? I know it's not the best, but I don't want to boil in my clothes at work with an undershirt at summer. I have to wear a white shirt which makes visible a binder, and we don't have air conditioning and it's so hot at summer I can't describe. My question is, how long does it stay on? Can I wear it 8-9 hours a day without peeling off? Does sweating make it come off?
Thanks in advance

Thanks it's really helpful, I'll go through more carefully. But binders aren't a solution for me at work. At least at summer.
I would do this occasionally only.

There are different materials and compressions available.
You might look up which one could suit you.

And you might look into the sports bra method.

I wouldn't recommend tape for binding. It doesn't have the movement / leeway you require, you can mess up your skin, ribs and chest in general.

I've been there and it's not worth it - look into buying binders like Underworks or GC2B.

I usually use a sports bra, but it's visible under my work shirt. I don't want more layers. GC2B looks awesome as they have a full length binder and the material is light but with shipping to my country it's insanely expensive.

Maybe you have birthday soon and can get a gift card ?  :)

Have a look on Amazon, they should stock Underworks that can be delivered cheaper to where you are. Not sure about them with GC2B.

If all else fails try a sports bra, a sports compression shirt and then your work shirt. Not ideal but a hell of a lot better than messing up your body

If I get any money I spend it on food or whatever I really need and my birthday is far away, so I'm not in the position to get a new binder :/ I'll take a look on amazon and ebay, maybe there are New stuff there. I'm looking for a full length binder that's breathable like GC2B with a price I could afford for ages. I also bought medical tapes and I'm gonna try it tomorrow, I just worry it's going to peel off. Anyway, thanks to anyone  :)

In the links above are hints to binder giveaways.
There are organizations where its possible to get a used binder.
Usually they are free, it may only necessary to pay for postage.
And if its regular postage it might not be much.

Thank you, I'll check it out  :) I looked up giveaways, the problem seemed to be that I'm in Europe. But that was earlier, maybe I can find something I can afford.

Imo it does not matter much where they are.
If they send via normal mail its possible to send a binder in a big envelope.
So it should be the equivalent of a few usd.
Its not express via ups.
It simply may take a week or two.
I'd say just ask a few organizations, its only a few emails.

MORF Binder Scheme operates out of the UK and ships anywhere for just the postage price.

When I contacted people about used binders they always told me they won't send it to Europe. But thank you, I'll ask again :)

If in doubt you may tell them they may use a lined envelope and send it via mail.
It should arrive just als well, without much packaging and postage.

I've used sports tape to bind before (you can get extra wide sports tape that helps a lot! be sure to wet it a bit it before taking it off or you may hurt your skin pulling it off) I'd say the best way to do it would be to tape your breasts to the side by placing the tape over the breast, pulling it and ending it behind your back. Don't go over the center of your chest, only taping the breasts. That way you can breath a lot easier while binding effectively.

I wouldn't wear it for too long of a time but just do what your body tells you - if it feels fine you're probably okay but if it feels bad or painful take it off. Still wouldn't wear it any longer than binding with a binder though.

Thanks the wetting it part would've help a lot, it was really comfortable, but getting it off is painful. I'll try it next time

First time I did it I accidentally ripped off some skin - giving me a sort of rug burn mark on my side! Definitely not pleasant xD Be careful with certain tapes though, some of the glue can cause an allergic reaction if left on for too long. Make sure your skin can breath with whatever tape you use!
