With the new change that has come to Pennsylvania in regards to trans exclusions in insurance plans being prohibited, I'm thinking about going through with getting my gender marker changed on my social security once I get my name changed. Now I have a question, which may or not be stupid or silly.
Basically what I'm wondering is if I do get my marker changed on my SS (instead of waiting to get top surgery first like I originally planned), am I considered legally male on my health insurance?
Thanks if anyone can clear the air on this for me. I'm hoping to get everything done by the end of the year if all goes well, so I just want to make sure I have all my grounds covered.
