Hi, I'm interested in getting facial electrolysis. However, I have a low pain threshold. Does anyone know if people can have local anesthesia administered for facial electrolysis?
Sincerely,

Caitlyn

I've heard of folks going to their dentist ahead of time and getting a shot of Novocain to deaden the area.

My electrologist has me put lidocaine on the particularly sensitive areas. It has a numbing effect and it helps but doesn't get rid of all the pain.

I also practice pain control hypnosis which helps if I'm in the right frame of mind.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

I know its possible, as the endocrinologist in Sydney Dr Jon Hayes offers electrolysis and does both anesthetic injections and nitrous oxide gas. He does seem to be rather exceptional though.

For some reason there's not many electrologists that are qualified doctors...
