First define male clothing with no ambiguity. Next define male features with no ambiguity. Now, with that you can say whether someone is male or female at a glance...  um, no, you can't. That's why a law can't work. It comes down to an opinion and that's how CIS women get thrown out of bars (Detroit, 2014) or beaten up (recent).

This is the issue. It cannot be about dress or presentation. There should be no legal protections afforded to bathroom goers other than already exist There are laws against loitering, disturbing the peace and of course assault. There is no safety issue.

BTW, the extremist in this link should have likely been arrested for disturbing the peace.

Thank you for reminding me just how serious this is.  I agree with you entirely although I also consider these attempts at segregation to be based on fear, ignorance, ideology and subjective comfort levels.  The same basis for racial and other segregation regimes.

I get that some people are uncomfortable with diversity and wish to go back to a time when "others" were kept in closets and institutions and our tender sensibilities were not exposed to people in, gasp, wheel chairs in our public bathrooms.  Remember the kind folks who graciously fought the Americans with Disabilities Act?  They railed against having to change bathrooms and parking to accommodate them as "too expensive" for such a tiny minority.  Sound familiar?

The young lady who cut my hair the other day had an apt comment to all of this, while hyperbole is also i think pretty accurate. "The patriarchy is in it's death throws, the people that support it are getting ugly"

When I am reduced to yelling in an argument I also know I am loosing it and yes, being butt ugly.  Hardly wins any friends, hearts or minds and is rare for me after transition :D

After watching these videos, I think these people are showing themselves to be the extremists that they are. I don't think anyone will be swayed by their horrible behavior. It made me angry to watch, but it also made me want to increase my effort to behave with class. I want the distinction being me, a transgender person, and the extremists to be clear. I think the worst thing about these people is their complete lack of empathy for other human beings. It is truly the ugly side of humanity.

Her actions strike me as a bunch grandstanding on her part to try to impress her Deity - It's a shame that in the Christian faith grandstanding in public doesn't get you anywhere (Matthew 6:1-34).

And like you said her actions are far more likely to drive people away instead of converting them.

Can you even imagine what the historical Jesus would say to these people?

I think the ideal response to people like this is stolen from Colin Firth:

"I'm a Catholic whore, currently enjoying congress out of wedlock with my black Jewish boyfriend who works at a military abortion clinic. So, hail Satan, and have a lovely afternoon, madam."
When in doubt, ignore the moral judgments of anybody who engages in cannibalism.
