so ive been really depressed recently largely because my boobs are covered in red stretch marks...im wondering if anyone else has gotten this after hrt? my boobs aren't even that big like a b cup so its so frustrating...anyways I had a laser treatment done on them to try to reduce it and it helped some but not enough...so I will probably get another...anyways the biggest thing that worries me is I really want implants but I wonder if that will make it even worse :embarrassed: :'( I know a lot of people may say stretch marks are normal or not a big deal but there everywhere and red so I don't think anythings been more upsetting transitioning so far...anyways I just needed to rant on this and did anyone else get that and did the red ever fade? Also would it be a bad idea to still get implants eventually?

I have never heard of it before but I have a thought or two. A quick check of your posting history shows you are young and may have had relatively fast breast growth. It's possible given a little time, your skin will grow and not be stretched. As I am older, I am finding my skin is loose and the result is wrinkles. In a way it may be a good thing that your skin is still young and firm.

As for breast implants, I wouldn't consider them for a few years. Wait until you see what happens with your skin and if it doesn't get better, you should avoid implants.

I hope that give some time this will clear up.

I do not have that experience as I am still pre everything, but I do have some vicious stretch marks toward my underarms, near my hips and also toward my crotch area on my thighs.
Decent areas to where it wont make a lot of visibility, but at the same time, might raise some concern, when it comes time when things start rolling for me.

Not from HRT directly, no, but here's a stretchmark story for ya~

Back when I played a wildly popular MMORPG (no, not WoW) I got them.  I was playing this virtual time vampire for like 15 hours a day; no job, no social life.  I'd eat, poop, shower, sleep and play the rest of the time.  It was soooo ridiculous but I couldn't see at the time how harmful it was.  It was a game that even gained a nickname amongst players called Evercrack (yeah, that one!).

So my mom bought me this foam grey cushion because she knew how much I just sat on my ass doing this and my chair back then wasn't soft.  Well after a few weeks I got these really horrible purple stretchmarks on my inner thighs and it took awhile for me to figure it out.  The material was this like no-slip grippy foam wedge that was literally pulling my skin away from my groin the way I sat on it.  Soon as I threw the cushion away, they went from purple to pinkish but it took years and years for them to turn white.  They're still there:  a permanent reminder of the trials and tribulations of being a hardcore raid-pro in an MMORPG, LoL!  So my stretchmarks weren't age or weight related.

Point is:  Maybe yours are genetic.  Maybe your growth was phenomenal and nothing could be done.  But maybe it's due to some outside influence... too tight of a bra?  I don't know; just offering a different viewpoint.

Not from hrt, but from weight. They will unfortunately never disappear. You can help them to lose their redness however.

1 - Boost blood circulation, do exercices with the region.

2 - Exfoliate your skin, using a scrub preparation.

3 - Over hydrate the region with cream and lotions.

4 - If you drink tea, apply the remaining mix once cooled.

It will never disappear but taking good care of it will make it pretty hard to even notice.

I did get some (and I'm honestly not sure how it works with implants), because I grew to a C cup within 3 months or so. I have some stretchmarks on my thighs, too. The good news is that they mostly fade by themselves, given time; I have very pale skin and got bright red stretchmarks, but by a couple years later they'd faded to pink and then to white. Now it looks like part of my skin unless you look *really* closely. So you may want to hold off on removal treatments until you've given your skin time to determine what it can do on its own.

I'm getting a few on my butt because it has expanded pretty rapidly. I just put cocoa butter or coconut oil (mixed with a bit of vitamin E) on my skin to help alleviate that.

Will get red stretchmarks under breast area occasionally that go away within hours. Seems to be related to how dry my skin is and how active I am. On oral estrogen, it was pretty bad at higher doses but breast growth was also fast and significant whereas now, on injections and progesterone which is supposed to counter dry skin, it is better. Stretchmarks under breast area don't stay.

Stretchmarks on hips, upper legs too but barely visible from quick fat accumulation in that area in the first few months of HRT.
I am not a medical doctor, nor a scientist - opinions expressed by me on the subject of HRT are merely based on my own review of some of the scientific literature over the last decade or so, on anecdotal evidence from women in various discussion forums that I have come across, and my personal experience

This might be weird coming from the other side, but I can maybe somewhat make you feel better.

When I was going through puberty the first go around (I'm an FTM), I ended up experiencing exactly what you're going through. I went through almost all my changes in the chest area within a single year and I ended up with large C's. It's difficult for your body and your skin to adjust to such rapid changes; this is EXTREMELY common even among biological women. It would've happened to you if you'd been born into your preferred body, too.
So yeah. It sucks, but it's almost a rite of passage. My fiancée has small B's and even she has stretch marks. They'll fade with time and eventually become so unnoticeable that you won't even pay attention anymore.
