The Advocate/Bizant   05/17/2016

"Activists at the first #TransLiberationTuesday action called for an end to anti-trans violence, better and more accessible support for transgender residents, and more safe, affordable housing. The action was channelled into a social media hashtag for nationwide calls to action by Danielle Marilyn West and Janetta Johnson, Bay Area-based organizers with the TGI Justice Project, according to the "Herstory" of the campaign as listed on the Facebook page for the Trans Liberation Tuesday Art Series. "The #TransLiberationTuesday art series aims to amplify and celebrate this liberation struggle," writes artist Micah Bizant. "
