WASHINGTON — With two milestone developments in the federal government's policy on gender issues, last week was heady for transgender people and advocates.

While recent federal "suggestions" seem like milestones, transgender rights have been slowly evolving, albeit not as quickly as some would like, but there is now quite a bit of case law supporting transgender people as this article points out.
