So I've never binded before but I did today and I used Gauzes and the tape that comes with it. Is it safe to do this?

It really isn't a good idea because it is extremely easy to bind too tight. That being said, it is ok if you make sure it is loose enough so there is no pain or discomfort at all and you can move freely. Also gauze should not be used for long periods of time. I know I've made the mistake of tightening mine too tight before and ended up with some pretty bad injuries. If you aren't ready to spend a lot of money on a binder, try looking around online for a cheap one. The set size makes it a bit safer.
