What type of group is this?
This is a peer support and process group aimed at exploring
issues that impact the lives of LGBT community
members. Topics vary from week to week, depending on
the needs of the group. This group is intended to be a
place where group members are able to explore their
experiences, and connect with members in a safe space.

Who is able to participate?
The group is open to community members who identify
as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and questioning their
own sexuality.

Do I have to be over 18 to participate?
Due to the therapeutic nature of this group, members
must either be over 18 or have written parental consent
to participate in group. Individuals who are under 18,
should contact the group leaders to receive appropriate
documentation to participate in group. Following completion
of parental authorization minors will be allowed to
attend group without parental supervision

Do I have to live in Porter County?
Dayspring Counseling Center welcomes individuals
from near and far to be members in our group, as a
result residency in Porter County is not a requirement
for group participation.

Who is running the group?
The group is run by masters and doctoral level
interns with education and clinical interest in working
with LBGT populations. These interns are closely
supervised by a licensed clinical psychologist.

How much does this cost?
This group is offered free of charge, however, donations
are always welcome!

How long is the group?
Group will run for approximately 60 minutes, with a
planned ending time of 7 pm.

Where exactly is the office located?
Dayspring Counseling Center is located on the west side
of 1005 N. Campbell Street,-Bond & Campbell St. From
the parking lot individuals should travel north on the city
sidewalk, (towards Ogden Gardens) and proceed down
the ramp to the counseling center entrance
