Would people call you mam just because you have boobs that are very noticeable?

I wear a C cup bra even tho my boobs are barely a B cup and at work every customer calls me mam..... so I'm wondering is it cause I pass or is it just cause I hav boobs? Like yesterday a group of guys were staring at me giggling with eachother and one of them kept looking at me and then looking back at his friends laughing n then looking back at me again smiling while talking to his friends and once they were leaving he smiled and waved his fingers to me and when they walked maybe 5 steps he turned and looked back at me and was still giggling. I felt like he knew I was transgender and he was making fun of me about it so it's got me questioning whether I really pass or not.

Angélique LaCava, hard to say, you do look very passable to me.  Boobs definitely go a long way especially when you have a top on that shows you have them, also if your face is nice as well. You could have well passed and they liked what they saw.

boobs definitely will go a long way in deciding gender especially when the rest of you looks like that gender.

Boobs are one of those "key indicators" for people.  The reality is that most people don't understand the whole transgender spectrum, etc.  Unless there is a dead giveaway, basically if someone has boobs, most people will assume that they are probably female.

From the pics I've seen of you, you are gorgeous and seem very passable to me.

Angelique;
Yes its an interesting question. One  night  last week I was out with some CIS gender women, one of the women (my friend Petra) knows I am Transgender, but the other women didn't, until about half way through the evening. I actually came out to the group as I was really warming to them (and Petra reckoned they would be OK with it).

I asked them what they thought.

One woman (in her mid 30's expressed surprise as her words were ï would never have guessed!. She said you must have amazing breast forms. I said yes. They are really me - 44B Cup.  She then said "Wow your breasts look really nice, but you have no Adams Apple and your hands and feet are so small and your make up is absolutely flawless and you don't exhibit any male mannerisms. I said this all comes with practice. Mind you I have never had any Adams Apple.

As another one said, well you look really nice (I was wearing an off the shoulder party dress with heels), and smell gorgeous - nice perfume, so she would never have guessed. Another said - You are very convincing as a female and blend in very well.

Yet another said but your skin is really glowing and has just a womanly softness about it. I said yes years of Oestrogen & Progesterone.

So there is a range of markers. Obviously all of these things go together to make believe you are totally female.

For instance today after having lunch with another girl from Susans (Padma)I was walking in a city centre near me today in beautiful sunshine is a  very skimpy summer blue dress, open tool sandals with bare shoulders, arms  and legs  with the breeze in my hair and not one person said anything except can I help you Mam?  Or smiled at me as I walked past. It was a wonderful feeling. What a way to have a pleasant day.

well that's like at work I didn't tell anyone and when I decided to after like 2 months they didn't believe me because I joke a lot until  i said why would I lie about that. I just feel anxiety around huge groups of guys cause I don't feel like I pass and guys who hav looked at me hav hit on me later on n just didn't talk to me at first site cause they were shy,but I still question whether I pass or not. FYI I work at Home Depot as a cashier.

The problem is you never know. It could be something that you haven't paid attention to, it could be somebody who saw you in a bar or it could be one of the guys cracked a dirty joke having nothing to do with your gender status. Often the best thing to do is ignore them and don't worry about it.

From all the pictures I have seen of you, you are very passable and I don't think it's likely you were read because of your appearance.

Guys will look at anything that interests them and that includes looking at women. I honestly have given up second guessing if I pass or not because it's really hard to know if we do or not. For one, we cannot read their minds. Now, mind you as long as they are being respectful and not being deliberately disrespecting you then you're fine.

My only gauge if I pass or not is if people don't even bother to look at me. To me, that means I am blending and I am not getting any unwanted attention. As many people have said and I don't do a lot of ->-bleeped-<-ing - you are beautiful. Whether they know you are transexual or not, isn't your problem its theirs. Use it to empower you to be who you are.

Live your life and be free. It takes time but always remind yourself you transitioned for you and not for them.

Yes. I swear that the only reason I don't pass as a man are my boobs.

Boobs are a very, very powerful feminine marker. Just as others have said you don't know what those guys were thinking and the giggling might have been for any number of reasons, none of which include you being trans. A lot of guys get very nervous and silly around attractive females - perhaps some of that was in play?

I recently had to buy a bigger bra. Every time my bra gets bigger I notice that people seem to be nicer, especially the guys. I'm pretty sure its because of my boobs.

Boobs, visible bra straps, black stockings & heels all work to attract guys.

That's why we love to wear them in the first place: they make us feel feminine!

Mine aren't very visible unless I wear a tight shirt and I avoid that because they also show off my gut, but I think they are a huge factor. I really didn't feel passable at all and found myself at a gym packed with kids for my daughter. Not to raise any suspicions, I dressed more in the middle with women's jeans, ugly sneakers, and a men's t-shirt (and bra underneath), and no makeup. I still got gendered female the whole time. I'm pretty sure it was my chest that did it.
