Vagina prosthesis?

Hi, new to the forum, been on chat for a while now though.  Anyways, for my question that caused me to actually join up I'm wondering if anyone has ever actually tried any of the various vagina prosthetics out there rather than gaffs as a temporary solution before surgery (or if you're non-op or just crossdressing, why doesn't really matter).  Two specific products I'm interested in are the vee-string made by various mfg's and the Pro-V made by Choice Tools.  Due to the forum rules I cannot actually post links.  The Pro-V claims you can pee from it and experience something akin to penetration, and versions of the vee-string make the same claims, some just the urination, others both (and more...  sexually explicit claims as well that I have no interest in nor will I repeat them here).

Mostly, I just want the aesthetic look without the need for special underwear and the ability to pee wearing it, the other claim would just be icing on the cake if it were actually true at all, but if it's not, it wouldn't bother me.

I want to know how they hold up, how well they hold a tuck, if they are actually convincing in look, how it feels to wear them, and if you really can effectively pee wearing them.  If I got one of these, I'd be wearing it all the time except when in the shower, and would wash it while in the shower and immediately put it on again.  I hate the feeling of my "junk" that much.

yes, I had the vee-string by Castle Supplys and have posted on here about it when i first joined... they are NOT intended for long term use and would require hefty refitting by a skilled artist if that is your intention to wear them long term. The only one i bought in 2008 fell apart on me after less than a year's casual use. It is actually very thin (+/- 1-3 mm) latex in most places. It can hold the penis back, but not truly bind it like tape, pantyhose or shapewear will do for you. And the string is just that- a string. real bugger if any hairs get caught up in it, nevermind the chafing on the tailbone (same problem with slingshot type gaffs). The ones they use in the videos must have been enforced with the extra layers of latex that they sell separately. The size accommodation for the genital area was also much bigger than needed for me, so i can only assume that it was intended for those that are well endowed in girth.

There is another line called the FemSkin. It is a whole lot costlier being either a full bodysuit or a girdle. They are designed a whole lot better by being thicker for the vaginal area, but both are advertised as sex toys, and neither the fem nor the vee eliminates the bulge.

It looks like the other product you mentioned, the Pro-V, has expanded off of those designs to make a true prosthetic silicone line that isn't for the intention of intimacy. I looked at the site and video on the theultimateprostetic website. I would still have my concerns on hygiene wearing it for several days without cleaning, considering all the possible UT and/or yeast infections that could spring up in that time. But for the cost listed, the customer could almost reserve a surgery date in most places for that much...

I would also consider looking for a Gina Clip. Just found this item by accident on youtube looking up the Pro-V... and wow, it's method matches a whole lot to the inversion method i used for years once i found something that worked. definitely can't post the video directly, but you can find it on google search with the following term:
"Gina Clip on The Crowdfunding Center" the indiegogo page for the creator's attempt at expanding into the U.S. market.  WARNING! private viewing only as it shows an actual demo also has a chart that can be used to do the inversion method that i have talked about numerous times for smaller sized users. I have heard of some making their own versions of the clip using hardware supplies and a bit of improvisation.

In the long run, I found it more efficient to instead use the clothing items freely available at local stores instead of spending any more money on something that would be useless once i got to being post op.
Spanx is VERY good for this, as are the flexees line of shapewear from Maidenform. Each of these lines have varying degrees of binding, and a few have gussets for going #1 without need for removal in tight spaces. (that can be a bit haphazardly to do pre-op, but is very useful once +1 year post-op.) For me, what was tight in the crotch pre-op, ended up fitting perfectly now post-op, and I've had them for three years now. :) you can also craft your own gaff/panties by recycling control top pantyhose and discarding the parts that had runs in them and using a wedgie like pull back to bind it in place. there are many examples to keyword search throughout google, youtube, and on here... there's always the tape tuck/invert methods too that I've successfully used for a string bikini at the beach and in the hot tub, but that is not recommended for long term use due to likely irritation and rash from the bonding agents (even if it will hold form for several days)

That thread seems to speak only about the vee-string and the vagina panty types.  It also is what I would personally call a "mixed review" from the few users who actually used either.  Most of the negative comments were along the lines of too expensive don't want to try.  I don't want to necro that old thread and don't even know if any of the users who posted on that thread are still around.

Gaffs are pretty darn expensive too, especially getting enough of them to last a while before needing to do laundry, the tuck, in my experience, is also quite poor really.  Additionally, they wear out VERY quickly.  Though a chat staff member did recently give a rather glowing review of neoprene bikini's for a tuck.  Going so far as to say the particular pair she'd tried gave a better tuck than gaffs.   I've found those for only $5 a set on one site that does Asian imports to the US, and I am considering trying them.

The problem I have with neoprene bikini's is that they will definitely show under most clothes.  Heck, even skin tone gaffs show under tight enough clothing.  There's no such thing as a no panty-line gaff.  Personally, I think that if they work well enough, make me feel more feminine, and allow me to wear normal underwear with them, while yes, they're definitely expensive, it'd be money well spent to be able to wear a plethora of different kinds of panties and feel more feminine even without surgery considering that surgery is easily still years away for me.  At least more than two, and that'd be if I got insurance effective tomorrow.  Even if I did try one, I acknowledge that I wouldn't be able to do so anytime soon and do still need another method in the meantime.

Thank you veritatemfurto for your honest appraisal of your own experience with the Castle Supply vee-string.  It aligns with what I expected from that way of doing things.  I'm not sure I'd have tried one of those anyway even before reading your experience, I was just naming a product I've seen.  I will look into the other things you mentioned as well and expand this post for commentary by anyone who's tried those.

I've already tried regular women's shapewear and none of them hold a tuck for me.  Maybe I'm just too big?  IDK.  Haven't tried making my own gaffs, don't exactly have a plethora of hosiery with runs in them to experiment with.  Haven't tried taping, largely for the complications you've cited already.

When I was in RLE, I used a panty girdle however this was long before the skinny fashion so there was sufficient room in my skirts and pants that a slight budge didn't show. Even now, I don't have enough bottom shape to pull off the skinny fashions so I don't have anything close fitting in my collection.

This was my experience.  They do not really tuck at all.  They are not convincing in look.  They are intensely uncomfortable to wear; bordering on painful.  And to answer your last question, they leak on the inside because they don't seal effectively.

Which product did you try?  Vee-string?  Which manufacturer?  Panty type?  Which manufacturer?

Yeah...  That really doesn't work for me.  Tried one, it didn't hold AT ALL.

I had a chance to look this up and it's actually very promising.  I wonder if one is able to pee with it in place or if they have to remove it to pee then struggle all over again with getting in back in place.

It was the vee-string.  I don't know the manufacturer but it's the one at transgendered.net.

yea its real manufacturer is Castle Supplys, all the other places buy them in bulk and then resell them for a profit or charge a handling fee for custom orders that are coming from Castle anyways. whenever possible, always buy straight from the manufacturer for the best price.

I'm pretty sure you could, especially if you try sealing on a texas cath to the glans before inversion. the white thing is actually any ol tampon that has two functions: create the divide to form the lips, and also to catch any sweat or dribble in the area. smaller tampon = bigger lips, and vice versa. I've been able to construct something similar with some tape and a toothless banana clip.

Oh, Lord, the rubber vag things again. Here's the deal. Most of these things are made of latex rubber. They might be OK novelties for occasional kinky fun, but they're not for TG people who want something to wear most of the time. Think of how long a rubber band lasts, not to mention how uncomfortable these things have to be. A silicon pant might work better, but I've not seen anything of this sort that's of a quality I'd rate greater than the fall-apart novelty level. If somebody knows of something, please say so. I'd be interested.

Is the new edition of the V prosthetic really penetratable and is it suitable for long term wearing?
I want to buy one but it's expensive. I'm non-op but wearing a prosthetic vagina could ease genital dysphoria in my case.
Does it look convincing?

This is a picture I found on the website :-/
<Removed by moderator>

To me it looks pretty realistic, but how does it feel when you are penetrated in it? Can you really comfortably pee through it? Does it look realistic when wearing it?

Anyone who bought a pro-V vagina prosthesis?

I know this is an old topic, but, with the gina clip; I looked it up. Is retracting or inverting your penis dangerous?

I've tried that particular idea a few times (without the toys). I can't see how it can be dangerous as there is plenty of space inside and there is no pain. If you care about fertility staying tucked in close all the time won't do much for the sperm which need a slightly cooler environment to thrive.
