The last six months haven't been good for big retailers in general. Since November 30, 2015, Target stock lost 4.53% in value.
What the good reverend doesn't want you to know is that over the same period, Sears lost 8.85% in stock value. Costco lost 14.5% in stock value.
The above figures are from Google Finance. Anybody with a computer can access them.
Franklin Graham knows that he's operating in a "fact-free zone" when he preaches to his ignorant followers. He knows they won't check and find out that Target's stock prices are trending more or less along industry averages for major retailers.
Graham's logic: "The sun rose. Your house fell down. Therefore, the rise of the sun caused your house to fall." It's not very persuasive as far as logic goes. But it's good enough for an audience that takes everything on faith anyway.
