So, there don't seem to be too many posts on things like this, so here's my contribution. I had surgery about a year ago. Today I got a Brazilian wax, my first professional wax. It's definitely a unique experience. I'm quite pleased with the result. My aesthetician was great. I came out to her, since I figured she would know anyway. She did say that besides some scarring she wouldn't have thought anything remarkable, which made me happy. Testament to the surgeon's work. It did sting like crazy for a bit, and then about half a day of serious swelling. It's really interesting to me now because I can really see the results much more clearly than in the last few months. Anyway, thought I'd share.

Had a bikini line waxing ...painful but no swelling
Thinking of laser ...I'm really lucky as the scars are very fine and inside the labia majora. I'm going to wait till a year after surgery to decide ...I'm only 5 months post op.
When we first start our journey the perception and moral values all dramatically change in wonderment. As we evolve further it all becomes normal again but the journey has changed us forever.

I do my own waxing, but I do use a Brazilian wax kit
