So I used to buy baggy polos under the delusion they looked more masc and concealed my curves.

But now I feel like I don't pass in them because they conceal my flat chest and my face is too andro right now.

Can I learn to love polos again or should I just let them go?  :-\

I used to wear a lot of polos too. Anything with a collar. Once I started T and really started changing physically (and also got top surgery), wearing polos became strangely dysphoric for me.  I have to dress business casual for work so I still wore button downs daily, but for some reason I just didn't like how the polos fit for me.

I also found that the shirts I had no longer fit very well. They were too small in the shoulders and too loose on the bottom.

When I was about 2.5 years on T (a couple months ago), I was hot, and had a much more active day at work than normal and I decided to go try on some polos at the store. I found that I loved them! I found styles that fit my new physique well and I look extremely masculine in them.

So perhaps it's a combination of finding new ones (I find that anything I wore before sometimes makes me dysphoric because I see the "old" me in them) and finding some that fit better. If that doesn't work, maybe give yourself a mental break from them and come back in a few months to see if you like them again.

Of course, people's styles change and their tastes change over time so it may just be that you don't dig polos anymore. That's ok too :)

IMO I don't think polo's look good on pre T guys because the high button design would make your face seem rounder. Tight t shirts that fit snugly around your arms would make you look more manly.

There's a section about t shirts if you keep scrolling

Right! Since I really started to gain upper body this is very true of old dress shirts. It's good though because back in the day the smallest ones didn't fit right. Glad that's no longer true and I can move up in size.

Interesting. I will keep this in mind.

I got to be unable to wear tight t-shirts about 2-3 years ago due to dysphoria. I can't put my hands over my head right now (immediately post-op) but I am looking forward to wearing tight t shirts again.

I know everyone says button downs + flannel are the best but i always feel like collared shirts make me look more femme, particularly polos 'cause of the small collar

I have always been a tight t-shirt fan despite everyone saying that button downs are the best, but then I am small busted and thin and tall, so I may be "unusual" in build for your average ftm.  I don't wear polos but that's because I consider them kind of geeky, mainly because they are all my 70 year old dad wears lol.
