Hi, so I had DI and am getting those yellow things taken off my nips in two days (I don't know the name oops) and long story short, I can't stop wondering/worrying if it's going to hurt when the doctor removes them because I don't know much about them?

I've never liked being touched in that area anyway, even by my boyfriend, but also I didn't wanna NOT have nipples because for me I want the ordinary male chest look and I personally want to have them there. I never had big/puffy ones to begin with and I anticipate them being pretty flat, I'm just anxious about the next appointment to get them off because I get sort of uncomfortable looking at them because of how it looks twisty, etc... so basically half of me is SO ready for these to come off but the other half of me is worried it's gonna be painful when they're removed. Any advice/knowledge on this if you had this same setup? Thanks

A sort of round yellow ball over each? It sounds like kind of stent setup I had. Getting them removed didn't hurt, though it did feel a bit weird. My nipples were completely flat under the yellow bit, not up into it at all. It looked like there was a thin layer of something left over them, but that wore off on its own.

I was pretty worried; I don't like being touched period, much less there, and thinking about stitches was already making me nauseous. It was a pretty quick process, though. I made sure not to look until the process was completely over, and I was sort of relieved to realize I couldn't actually feel when that was.

Good luck at your appointment!

that's super relieving to hear; I'm the same way currently, my surgeon did an incredible job for sure and I'm happy with the shape of the incisions which I was worried about, but since I'm in the raw early stages now I haven't really been looking at my chest yet because seeing the stitches and nip stuff makes me a little queasy... but I know once it heals it's going to be great and overall I'm happy! I'm glad I'm not alone in that, some people are super stoked immediately which is great but I'm a bit more sensitive with the freshness of it all.
