Some of you may know that I am an attorney working for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office.  I have been working there as a prosecutor for the last 28 years.  Last year one of the local network affiliates shot some footage of me as I began my transition.  A few weeks ago they shot some additional footage and aired the story last week.  I was out of town and didn't get to see it as it aired but they have the story up on their web site.

I thought I would share it here with you all.  One of my daughters friends was at the nail salon I go to and apparently they had their tv tuned to the news cast and all of the ladies at the salon recognized me.

There were so many things that they didn't include but all in all I thought it was a pretty positive piece.

A straight line may be the shortest distance between two points, but it is by no means the most interesting

That is truly amazing and inspiring! I also love how the reporter (green dress) had a fairly accurate understanding and explained it coherently.

Good for you! <3

Thanks everyone!  You never know when you do an interview what the reporter is going to use. Sometimes things are taken out of context or are not explained. But all in all I thought they did a fairly good job. I was just glad that the story was a positive view of a trans person.

That was a great interview and the editing was, as you commented, well done as it told a complete story.

Hi Jessie;
Great coverage and so nice to see you live rather than just the pictures I see of you. I will be in LA in November for a convention and catching up with some other TG friends in LA, Hollywood, Banning and Ventura County. Perhaps we can meet up for lunch or a drink.
Best regards

They probably wouldnt pick on a prosecutor in the Attorneys office if they were going to be negative.
