I was raised as a Christian, but am more of a Deist now. I think that if a "God" put us here on earth, then they just let us be and let us make our own decisions, as well as just let things happen. I don't believe there is necessarily interaction or interference with how we live our lives.
I think my parents in particular believe God is behind everything because that is what they were taught in Churches. For example, my mom doesn't blame God, but thinks there is a reason God gave me an extreme anxiety disorder. To her, that reason is that God believes anxiety will "make me a stronger person". I believe I'm just missing some chemicals in my brain, either from being born early or because anxiety runs genetically through my dad's family, etc. I think that is why I had such a hard time accepting my anxiety was getting so bad as I got older, I was raised to believe "God gave it to me for a reason". I eventually realized that was crap, but yeah. Basically if my parents are taught abc, they believe abc and usually without any question from their end.
Edit: Wow, that turned into a brief anxiety rant, apologies for the slight derail. My point was that I don't blame God because I believe God wouldn't make someone suffer for the fun of it, things just happens sometimes. Even if someone was "evil", God wouldn't want them to suffer by his will.
