What effect does caffeine have when taking spiro? I have read a few places that recommend limiting caffeine when on spiro.

I limit myself to 1 tea a day. I use to drink 6 cups of coffee pre-hrt. I was getting dehydrated so I increased salt and water and decreased caffeine.

I have found myself in taking three times more water than I used to. I will try and cut down on the caffeine.

I have really not cut down on caffeine since beginning HRT. I'm pretty steady at about 2 mugs of coffee or tea a day. I did try and cut back due to another issue for a time, but found no difference in my thirst, need for salt etc.

Ditto! Except I just have one big coffee at the start of the day.

I use to be able to drink as much coffee as I wanted too.  Now, if I drink too much, then I'll have a nasty headache... it'll feel like a really bad hangover.

I just augment my coffee intake with some flavored pedialyte, since with increased coffee intake I can dehydrate, but I tend to replace it with a liter or two of flavored pedialyte , especially when I'm working outside of my house at times and its hot outside.
