SRS sex waiting time

So I believe after SRS you have to wait 2-3 months to have sex. But does anyone know if you could do anything in the meantime like anal? I'm not sure if doing anal would be ok within the first three months after SRS? Has anyone heard about this

I would recommend against it. Creating a vaginal passage requires being very close to the intestinal track so internal violence could damage something. There are cases of an opening between the intestines and the vagina as well as the risk of the surgery perforating the intestines. That shows you how close everything is placed and why it's best to wait the full healing time..

I've also heard women say libido drops off for a while post-op before it comes back.

There is so much nerve reconnection down there that you won't feel like sex for almost 3 months. I have a dear friend that had her surgery ar the same time...she is a wild one and she waited 3 months ......I waited 4 months plus.

Even passing solids should be avoided with the right diet choices in the first few months. Google search for vaginal prolapse...

Hello, doctor gave me the OK at 8 weeks...but I waited a little bit longer.  The vaginal cavity was ready but the rest was not up to show time standards.  Fun started at 16 weeks. 

Added: Never did anal prior to SRS...so waiting was pretty easy.

I would definitely ask the surgeon. Personally, at 3 months I still felt like everything down there was a mess and I was tender and swollen; I would not have wanted anyone poking around the entire "undercarriage" area yet.

(Though Brassard definitely pushed pooping early and often, so I wouldn't get too paranoid about that part.)

Hah transnztal, I was thinking of the same thing today. I'm 5 weeks post op and I'm sooo ready. Patience my chaste dear, you ought to wait 8 weeks, and then make up for all the lost time

I restarted anal sex a little after a month post op. My libido never dropped. I was even masturbating at 2 weeks post op, probably shouldn't have been doing either one but I had a high sex drive, before & after SRS.

They are paranoid about that part, so you dont have to be. Bowel movement is encouraged as soon as possible and as often as possible. This is also why they prescribe laxatives and encourage you to stop using tramol, or similar painkillers, as soon as patient can manage without (because they cause constipation). Constipation is the number one reason for neovaginal prolapse.

Yes, this was exactly what my doctor said as well. Besides, constipation can be very painful in itself. It's better to get off prescription painkillers as soon as possible and onto Ibuprofen and/or Tylenol, if possible.
