Jaycie has been on HRT going on 4 months, and we haven't been to visit her parents (the ole inlaws!) in at least that long, and we went to visit this weekend.   Well their dog (a chihuaha) usually is very friendly, and loves Jaycie, well, this time the dog acted as if she'd never met her, like she was a complete stranger....  (the dog always has and always will hate me... *punt* :P lol)

Has anyone else noticed your pets or family pets react to you differently after being on HRT?  I assume it must change your "scent" so that to a dog, you ARE a different person?

I've heard that HRT changes your Pharamones(not sure of the spelling), which will inturn change your overall "smell." I'm not 100% sure.

Also 4months hrt... no change with my puppy or the cats. Constant exposure (and daily pets) in this case however.

I've noticed that pets I know are more friendly. My cat always had a preference for males. Now I can't get her off my lap. And my mum's dog has a preference for males and is completely smitten with me now.

Haven't noticed anything with strange animals, but I do notice that my scent has changed. My dirty laundry now smells way worse after a workout.

Could be something to that.  I've been on HRT for 10 months now and I haven't noticed any difference in my 3 cats, other that the black one doesn't like me that much but then she never has.

I went to visit a woman I had met several days earlier.  When she opened the door her dog was right there with her.  When I walked in she commented that it was a good thing I wasn't a man cause she (the dog) hates men.  Good dog  ::)
