To make this clear, I've had no surgery. The usual bio female genitals, too.

So... Peeing. I've had my handful of attempts with peeing standing up... It's something I first tried quite young. Silly me didn't realize I can't quite pee like a man; made a mess. Peeing as a woman should is something that actually makes me very uncomfortable in my skin, causes a whole ton of negative emotions to set off.

Of course over time, I've gotten better at it... But I was wondering if anyone knows an easier way to pee whilst standing up? As currently I'm having to take off my underwear and jeans completely, place then far away from the toilet and just... Stand over the toilet. Luckily my bathroom is spacious enough to do this, but in other places like public bathrooms... It's just not practical.

I know this is weird... Please someone else say that they do this, or at least try to. I feel like I'm taking my transsexuality too far! :p Sorry for posting such weird topics, I'm at an odd stage in transition...

Yes. I use a simple funnel for home and when I used to do field work in the bush (I was a biologist before becoming a stay home parent). I plan to get a packer stp soon. I also get dysphoric about sitting to pee... which is hilarious when you consider that my cis gendered husband sits most of the time. I have just always loved the freedom from standing...

You've got quite a bit of experimenting to do!

Check out these companies they all make different types of STPs (these all look like a penis) and some may not work for you. It's all trial and error with them.

-Transthetics ($200-$300): i currently use their STP and I have never had a problem with it in public. I don't need to wear a harness just tight fitting underwear to hold it in place. I just recently used it at a concert venue with other guys around and nobody said anything. So i guess it passed

-Freetom ($60-$400): I had some luck with one of theirs for a little while. But I kept having too many accidents so I gave up with them. They are also too big for me to pack with.

-Reelmagik ($500-$1000): A more expensive brand but has the best quality and look. People do complain they are a bit heavy.

-Tyron2 ($1000-$2000): A very interesting concept but the STP was WAYYYYYY too small for me and I never figured out how to use it. I was sorely disappointed as well as my pocket.

-Emisil ($350-$600): Another with pretty good quality and a great look. I heard the STP function of this brand is pretty great and not many people report issues using it.

-EC Prosthetics ($20-$150): Cheaper quality and not sure how the STP function is some have success some don't. Good for something to get started with if you're on a budget.

-Tranzwear- Company offers all types of items as well as custom harnesses for when you pack. They have a different variety of DIY STP kits.

You could also look into the Fenis, Go Girl, or a medicine spoon.

Yes, noise was one of the things about standing up. Even with a device I think you will find there is still noise as the water has suffice drop to separate into drops with each one making noise. I think there is a physics paper in here somewhere.

I used a medicine spoon for a really long time. I'm not sure packers were available when I started doing it, but I don't recall ever looking for one. All you have to do is cut the rounded end off. You'd hold the spoon part against yourself and point the end of the tube into the toilet, and go. There is a bit of a learning curve, but it's not terribly difficult.

As far as transport, I did just keep it in my pocket. I would go into a stall, use it, shake it off, wipe myself and it with some toilet paper, then cup it in my hand and take it to the sink to rinse with warm water. Dry it and my hands off with a paper towel, then back in my pocket. Never had any issues. I would make a point to disinfect it once a day.

I think you can also fold a coffee can lid and make a funnel style one. I would experiment with some of the cheap DIY options before you consider buying one. All of them involve a certain degree of familiarization, but some of them flat out don't work with my anatomy. So it's best to figure out as cheaply as possible what style works best for you, and then buy a nicer one in that style.

It's not really messy for me as much now, it's more of the fact that I can't aim, which means like you said - it's very loud. And STP sounds really good, I think I might have to save up and get one... I read up that guys pee so loudly because of them aiming for the center of the bowl. So if there's a way I can hit the side, then it won't be so loud.

Just saw that quite a few of those suggested were a bit on the expensive side. It's here in Canada and no clue if they deliver to the US, but there's a good shop here called Come As You Are and they finally got STPs that can be worn with harness. With the harness its over 100 CAD ($30 for harness, $90 for D model STP), but not too bad. Just a bit more affordable option.

I got a FreeTom, and I also felt that it was too big to pack with and too difficult to use as an STP.  I will probably sell it eventually--right now it just sits on a door.  I have been with a lot of guys, so when that thing came out of the box I was like "SERIOUSLY?!  This is what you call average sized?"  (It was actually one of the smaller ones, but it was huge compared to 90% of guys, especially in width.  So basically, I didn't find it worth my $350, but I know some people love them.

I wouldn't mind trying another STP packer that isn't porn star sized, though...

My favorite STP is the Go Girl.  It is well designed, cheap ($10 on Amazon), and I actually have a lot of female friends who use it, too, when they don't want to sit on public toilets or when they're out in nature.  It's easy to use, and it now comes in khaki so you no longer have to pee with something that is hot pink, lol.

That didn't work too well for me.  Though urine is technically clean, it's still not fun to accidentally get it all over yourself, and that's what tends to happen when I try to pee standing up without an STP.  Sometimes it's a success, sometimes it's a failure.  I eventually just gave up on that.  Plus it leaves me wanting to make jokes about golden showers...

Peeing without any support is difficult at times... Some days it works, others... Not quite. The GoGirl sounds good, and extremely cheap. I'm assuming it looks nothing like a penis, right? I can't really have an STP device that looks like a penis, as that'd cause problems if somebody working here found it... although I'd prefer a penis-like STP, it'd just be too much hassle to keep here.

I definitely get where you are coming from, I pee standing up all the time with my STP (stand to pee). You can get suuuper realistic ones so you could pass if a guy next to you saw it or you can get ones that look sort of real for cheap.

All you have to do is Google "Transgender STP" or "Prosthetjc packer/penis" there are tons. You can get just a device for peeing, or one that you can pee, have sex with, or just use as a packer. I love mine.
