It has been a month since my now former mental health providers rescinded their letters of support for my gender affirming surgery. This week, I was able to get new letters after a series of sessions with a different psychotherapist and psychiatrist at the practice where my former mental health providers work. As some of you may recall, my former mental health providers rescinded their letters because they thought I lacked a good place to recover at afer surgery. I presented almost the same post surgery recovery plan to my new mental health providers. I look forward to continue working with them as I prepare for my surgery and aftercare.
