The 22-year-old, who has played Kyle Slater since 2015, became the first transgender actor to play a transgender character in the BBC One soap.

Millington told the Radio Times about how his life has changed since signing on for the long-running series.

He said: "It's weird to have people following me around in shops!"

The Manchester-born actor also described how his high profile role is increasing understanding.
