Just returned from San Diego with a few perplexing moments.
I hate to visit the U.S. again. As possible, I will not go there again!
It all happned in LAX (LA international airport). The young security woman ransacked me: whole of my body including the groin and even the genital. This was far severer than when I was in Dulles airport a few months ago. Although she asked me whether I prefer getting it in a private room, but I refused it.
Another perplexing moment was when I sat on the bench in the airport. A young man next to me asked me a favor. He said that his wife went to the public restroom about 20 min ago, but still did not come back. He asked me to enter the restroom and check whether she is fine. What can I do? Entering there and shouting her name in the front of each room (with my low voice)? Fortunately another aged woman next to me said she can do it, asking the name of his wife, but his wife just came back.
Before going to the airport, I had dinner with my eldest son, who lives in LA, at a restaurant in the downtown of Santa Monica (the 2nd photo). The place was more like cities of my country, South Korea: bold fashion, drunken men, crowded and noisy. Many women were wearing high heels and fishnet.
In a walmart store of San Diego, an aged man behind me asked me "how tall are you?" I just did not reply as if I do not speak English. And in a public restroom of Sea World, another aged woman suddenly blocked my way out, commenting that I am so much tall. But I saw a lot of other tall women there. Yes. People seem to be more talkative than in the eastern coast of the U.S.
My colleagues let me know that San Francisco airport is as bad as LAX, and I will avoid stopping at any airport of the western coast of the U.S. Without ransacking in the airport, travel to the U.S. would be far more enjoyable.
Anyway, can I pass?
