To me you look androgynous without makeup.
Okay thank you.
Is there anything you think I can improve on without makeup? Is my hyperigmentarion bad?

the hyperpigmentation isn't that noticeable. I don't really see anything you can improve on. Idk if your on hormones or not, but if not or are early on then in a year or 2 you will pass fully.

Does my face pass without makeup? Please be honest.
I have hyperpigmentation on my neck area from shaving in my teens and I'm trying to fix it rn with laser and lightening neck creams.  However I was wondering can I still go without makeup and pass.
would say you pass 100% Would not think otherwise unless the voice were masculine :3

I think you pass Patience! I don't see the hyperpigmentation?
And good job on the hair growth!
I had black friends in School, girls, and it annoyed me to no end that they would never let it grow. Haha though it is apparently a torture.
Your hair looks amazing! :) and lips, are so full they are stunning! :3

The hyperpigmentation is not that noticeable, and it most certainly is not a gender-defining feature.  I would not worry about it that much if I were you.  Of more concern should be your facial hair.  The facial hair on your upper lip and chin are very obvious to me.  Once you get rid of that (with electrolysis), I think you will do wonderfully as your other facial features are quite feminine already.

You've got some very nice features: a relatively small jaw and chin, the small height of your upper lip, and though you've got some brow bossing at least it's not hiding your eyes. Your hair goes a long way.

But the beard shadow, well, you're gonna need electrolysis for that, which you should really start immediately, as it typically takes 18 months to 2 years on average to complete; until then, I'd stick with the makeup.
What you look forward to has already come, but you do not recognize it.

Heck, whatever you're doing it's working. You're best looking lady I've seen on Susan's in recent memory.

To everyone who is posting pictures:

Sorry, but if you have visible facial hair, you do not pass. (and isn't that what this thread topic is about?)  Facial hair just makes everything else moot, even if you look feminine otherwise.  You'll need to do laser or electrolysis for permanent hair removal, depending on your hair color and skin tone.  Facial hair removal is often one of the longest processes in a transition.  You need to start yesterday.  Don't delay!

If you're still in the process of removing facial hair, or if you can't afford it, or if you otherwise can't remove it permanently for whatever reason, don't despair!  There are temporary coverage options.  I recommend heavy duty concealers like Ben Nye Five O'Sharp Beard Cover.  For full coverage, try Dermablend products.  They work really well.

This!!  I started electrolysis before I started HRT.  I am almost 2 years into the the process (155 hours) and I still have many more to go.  Electrolysis is going to end up being the single most expensive part of my transition.  Start early, go often and get it done.  Facial hair is the only thing left bothering me.

I'm coming up on 50 hours next week, and my electrolyst and I figure I'm about at the 1/4 done point.  We're hoping to get an initial 'all clear' in another 10 four hour sessions, perhaps late spring, and then start scaling back the hours as we harvest the new crops of awakened follicles.  Another couple years and I'm home free, after spending almost as much as SRS will cost in the USA.

My personal transition path included medical changes.  The path others take may require no medical intervention, or different care.  We each find our own path. I provide these dates for the curious.

I don't pass as of yet... and really don't even try. I'm pre everything, so right now I'm a very androgynous glam rock guy... lol

But my landlord called me and asked who the woman was coming in using my key. She saw me on a security web cam. I had to tell her it was me. She sounded confused. lol (we never met in person... she lives in Ohio).

So yay!  ;D

Thank you guys for the feed back but yeah the beard area is my face shaven sadly. Its the hyper-pigmentation from shaving that you see. I been going to get laser treatment since early 2015. Hmmm.. Maybe i should try electrolysis but i heard it doesn't work on African American skin?  I guess i should stick with makeup until i can fix it.

This how i normally look with makeup on.

Really? It's by my upper lip and chin but thanks! I try taking care of my hair and I hate wigs! Your face is flawless too. :D

Laser may not work on dark skin because the skin absorbed the light. Electrolysis works on everybody but it's costly, slow and painful. Laser wasn't available when I had my facial hair removed so it was all done with electrolysis. It took about 200 hours and other than a few escapees, my face has remained clear for 30 years.

No, you have it backwards.  It's laser hair removal that doesn't work on African American skin.  You need to be doing electrolysis, not laser, for hair removal.

The way laser hair removal works: the energy from the laser is absorbed by the dark hairs.  But in your case, you have dark skin, so your skin is absorbing the laser's energy instead of your hair.  So what ends up happening is that there isn't enough energy to kill the hair follicle (because your skin is absorbing a lot of the energy instead).

Conversely, a white woman with blonde hair will have poor results with laser because the blonde hair isn't dark enough to absorb the laser's energy.  Laser works best for people with light skin and black hair.  (for example, Asians).

As a black woman, you are pretty much throwing your money away by doing laser hair removal.  You'll really only get lasting results with electrolysis (and it won't ruin your skin in the process like laser would).  Ugh... your laser hair removal technician should have told you all this and been honest with you, telling you upfront that you're not a good candidate for laser... instead she just wanted your money and did what was basically an ineffective hair removal treatment on you.  Or maybe she is incompetent or ignorant and just didn't know.  Either way it doesn't reflect well on her.
