I think you'll do quite well on hormones. A little contouring and some mascara to open up your eyes and you'll be right there. 🙂

How's this? I looked a bit boxy, wide-shouldered, and small-waisted in my last pictures, so I'm trying again. Here, I've got a fairly stiff, pleated skirt on, and a top that hopefully strikes a nice balance between being too form-fitting and being drapey. (Plus, I used my phone in front of a mirror instead of my computer's built-in camera, so hopefully it's a little easier to see.)

Side note, you can see that my legs are a bit "crooked" or "knock-kneed", in that they swing outward from the knees. Some fashion guides will give tips on how to hide it, I'm kind of just "meh" on it since it's not really a gendered thing. I can kind of hide it anyway with the right posture, like the lower picture.

@Lucca
Hi Lucca - sorry for the delay, got a new job - so busy busy.  The new photos definitely show improvement in for getting more shape in your waste/hips etc and its clever overlapping your legs to pull your shape back in - excellent.  Also your hair looks much better - I like the bits that are flicking up at the sides - it just helps shape your face - lovely!

Hope you are well,

Sonja.

I just went for my 3 month follow up on HRT this past Tuesday. I turned 55 years old this month as well. So far I am pleased with my changes considering I just started transitioning. I went full time (public) on Jan 1st 2018 at the Rose Bowl game of all places, and I haven't dressed like a man at all since. Oddly I haven't been mis-gendered at all during interactive conversations with sales people, or people face to face in general. However I worry that is just people being nice. So that is the reason I decided to post to this thread. I want to see if I am really passing, or are people just being nice. Thanks to all of you on this site for inspiration. Skylar

Hey, thanks! Yeah, I really like both this skirt and this top. The top especially, it's actually large enough in the shoulders and long enough in the sleeves that it doesn't cling too closely, plus the thumbhole sleeves help make my hands look smaller, I think.

Congratulations on three months of HRT and almost two months of full-time.  You are beautiful, and have a gorgeous smile, so it is not surprising that you are getting gendered correctly.

In your face-on shots, you are totally passable.  The shot that shows a partial profile does show your nose and brows enough to make people wonder if they already have a reason to suspect you are trans, but not enough to make them sure.

I think you look great, Skylar. It's no wonder you're getting gendered correctly. You look very much like one of my neighbor ladies and she's a cutie.

Thank you for your feedback. I was honestly a little surprised about the comment on my eyebrows because I get them threaded regularly. I guess it's time to see my lady TODAY lol. I do see now at that angle my nose is a give away. In my mind I think I totally look masculine anyway, especially from the side. However I'm hoping as more time passes on hrt it will change even more. Thangs again KathyLauren.

Awww, thank you very much. I cover them more now than I used to because some people may think they're masculine. My left arm from my shoulder to my wrist is Asian influenced art, which I happen to like a lot. It's just a dragon that wraps around my arm. On my right arm I have a guitar (because I play), Eddie from Iron Maiden (huge Maiden fan), a scene of an attack by paratroopers (I was a paratrooper in the U.S Army), and a Las Vegas tribute to the Oct 1st harvest festival shooting, because I live in Las Vegas. My wife and I actually canceled our plans that night to attend that concert with our friends who did go, but we were leaving for Florida soon so decided last minute not to go. Anyway people might think they're masculine but they do have sentimental meaning to me.

I was thinking you look very much like another woman I know. To my eye, the face is totally woman. I actually like the brows. They aren't bushy and they are well-shaped. As for the nose, I have a ton of Italian and Argentinian women friends whose noses would provide shade for multiple people. And they are just plain beautiful. Just like you, actually...

To my eye, the incongruity is the shape of the body, which does not look overly female. The right choices in clothes would change that instantaneously. Then it's just your movement and voice, which we can see here.  ;D (Holy Cow! We have a lot to work on, don't we???)

Browsed through this forum for a while, just dying to know I guess what others think of me; since I've
never asked anyone else.  Also this is the first time I've gotten my picture taken in about 10 years haha.

I think my bathroom lights are too bright, lol.  I also haven't "tried" to make myself appear more feminine, other
than letting my hair grow out a little.

Heres another one, I tried to smile a little, also my hair is always a mess, lol.  Also wearing my glasses, I don't like
glasses but wearing contacts gets annoying some days.  Not sure if glasses are a plus or minus, I have gotten
compliments about my glasses so I don't know.

You could, and a smile would make that even better!  The hairdo is a trifle on the uncared for side, but I think you could pass, you just have to learn to appear feminine.  It I not only the looks, it is the entire presentation that makes you fit!

Welcome to Susan's Place Kitten23. Looking at your picture, I think you have a pretty good start however you need to do something with the beard shadow. You might want to look at hair removal to learn about the various ways of removing facial hair. As dark as your beard appears, you might be able to use laser but if not, electrolysis will work. Unfortunately it is time consuming and if you need to do electrolysis, you will need about 3 days growth before treatment. It's rather difficult to pass if you have to grow your hair out so I suggest you start as soon as possible.

Thank you for your replies. Yes the facial hair is a huge issue, I have started laser but on my upper body.  I did have a few treatments on my face but the treatment times were too far apart for it to work well for my face since I go every 8 weeks.  The place I go to get my laser done is over 2 hours away so going up there that often would take too much gas for me to afford sadly.  For me getting rid of this awful body hair would make me feel better, and then once its gone start on my face; since I had alot of body hair.  Good news is about half of it is gone so far so im very happy with the results so far.  One day I may try makeup, to cover up the beard shadow, until I can start laser/electro on my face; but im afraid of how ill be looked at if its really noticeable, also i'm not that smart so I assume i'll look like a clown for a while hehe
