Hey everyone, so as the title says, I've started to take my spironolactone, though my estradiol hasn't been approved yet for coverage from my insurance, I'm crossing my fingers hopefully by tomorrow. In the meantime, I'm trying to document my experience on Spiro till I get my estradiol as well as taking a weekly pick just for the sake of document things though I doubt I will see major changes till I get my estradiol. Can anyone tell me what their experiences on Spiro you had, if that's what you just had to start off? So far I've felt a bit achy by the second day, but none the less I've felt a calm I haven't experienced ever in my life. I've read that I'll see less acne and decrease in body hair (which is a relief) along with other effects, though I don't know what's 100 % accurate, it's the wild west of the internet. btw, anyone else starting on hrt here? For me so far it's my 3rd day.

Kisses,

Karen

I'm about 3 weeks ahead of you., spiro only so far.

I noticed the emotional changes around 11 days in, with my emotions running close to the surface, easily evoked, and a sensation of intense calmness below, as in meditation, compared to what I had felt the previous 50 years or so.  I didn't notice any changes 'down below' as that had been out of order for a number of years already.

I've compared the change in sensation to living with an angry beehive in my head that has now gone away.  I don't miss it.
Earth my body, water my blood, air my breath and fire my spirit.

My personal transition path included medical changes.  The path others take may require no medical intervention, or different care.  We each find our own path. I provide these dates for the curious.
