Are you using one needle to draw up and a fresh needle to inject? I would use a fresh needle and the smallest gauge that's practical to inject. That means less pain.

I was getting tense about something else and my psych suggested guided visualization. You can find this on Youtube, for example a guided visualization of being on the beach. The beach isn't my happy place so I tell myself I'm in an overcast, brackish marsh (hey, it's my personal calm place). Tricking yourself into calming down will help with muscle tension and pain later.

Yes, I am. Only have two different types and my doctor quickly reminded me that the big needle I was freaking out about is ONLY used for drawing up the T in the first place. Smaller one goes in my thigh.

My next shot is Tuesday morning, so I'll be sure to try what I did last time to make sure it wasn't just me finally switching legs. It didn't hurt last time due to suggestions though but I'll try this as well.

Late but the last shot stung a bit but with no pain so I think the advice helped greatly!

You've just reminded me that I need to do my shot tonight, and it's almost bedtime.

I'm glad that things are looking up. It sucks to be hung up about something we want and need. I love being able to just get in there and do it in five minutes flat with no hitches.

Uh-oh...the clock is ticking for me!
