Body hair

I'm tossing up about whether I should begin laser on a small patch of hair I have on my chest and a tiny amount around my nipples. I am lucky in that I'm not very hairy and have fair skin and dark hair (ideal for laser).

My question is... do I wait til I'm on hormones longer and see if it thins out/disappears by itself or should I just start lasering my chest area? Seeing as I'm having my face done once a month I figured I may as well be proactive and start on other areas, but I don't want to waste time/money if hormones will help me with it.

I know hormones sometimes don't really effect body hair in any real way (there's mixed reviews) so I was hoping to get some advice on the matter before I spend the money. As my breasts continue to grow, will the hair in the area begin to thin out also?

Feel free to give me a full run down on your own experience regarding hormones/laser/body hair. Would be much appreciated.

I would guess if you are not overly uncomfortable with it you should wait. I can't tell you from experience because my face what the only place I saw real male growth. I have seen a reduction in my public hair with the lines matching a feminine shape which I never expected as I expected that hair would be more resistant to change.

For me it took a good 6 months and still going 7 years later for body hair changes. I did have a fair amount of fair hair on my chest and around the nips. I think the biggest factor for the hair thinning out was my T level being down in the sub basement range. (3rd time on HRT) After the third month there were shifts but at 6 you didn't have to convince yourself that there was real changes. After 2-3 years it plateaued with about everything mostly gone on my chest and tummy with a few strays around the nips.  and has just been a general thinning and even lower density.

With your dark hair I can see wanting to get rid of them in a hurry. The few odd dark ones drive me crazy.

You know best how fast body hair changes are happening. How dense you are may not matter much. Unlike electro, you aren't getting one hair done at a shot but a but a small patch per flash. Have you asked?

I would spend the money on the face unless the body hair caused you discomfort. I have had nothin done and I have no body hair but small thin sparse blond body hair. I started with a triangle pubic pattern and sparse. When I went to Papillion for genital hair clearing they asked if I had hair removal there.

my whole body hair pattern completely changed within months, I now shave my legs every 3-4 days, only a few spots, around the knees, some behind my hips have significant growth but it's similar to that of a cis female. My arms, my legs, all my body hair thinned considerably and got blonder, and growth considerably reduced, and I also have significant growth reduction in my facial hair (which I see makes me a special case). As for my chest hair, I had probably 50 hair on my chest, plus some around my nipples, and now I pull chest hair once a month maybe (it's still changing, they seem to be slowly disappearing completely), as well as the some 10 hair that still grow around each of my nipples, but that is changing still also as my breasts are developing and the nipple expending. I think that Finasteride played a great part in that although some may not agree or I may be wrong and it's simply the global change of hormonal dominance that changes my hair, but obviously, I got drastic change in no time, my legs used to be quite hairy.

Before HRT I had pretty high T levels and yet my body hair was pretty sparse, like probably less than 20 hairs on my chest and none on my back.  I guess that's not the norm.  Anyway, HRT virtually eliminated that and what is left anywhere on my body grows extremely slowly and its color and texture have changed so that it's nearly invisible when it does grow.

My body hair also changed on HRT.  Even if there are hair, then they are vellus, and even on my legs and arms.  I think it would be worth waiting.
